今天我演讲的话题是“以公为先爱国报国”
在1935年12月9日这一天，一场轰轰烈烈的爱国运动在北平爆发了，当北平的爱国学生听到蒋介石下令“绝对不抵抗”后，他们像雄狮一样怒吼起来，开展了抗日救亡斗争，掀起了“一二·九”运动。
面对他们“天下兴亡，匹夫有责”的民族责任感;面对他们“爱祖国高于一切”的爱国热情;我们的心能平静吗?
记得20年11月23日，澳大利亚墨尔本世界体操锦标赛上，程菲成功地完成了国际体操联合会以她命名为“程菲跳”。它最大的意义，并不在于许多个“第一”，而在于它重塑了中国女子体操的形象，让世界重新认识了中国女子体操，为祖国争得了荣誉。
如今，我们作为跨世纪的一代，面对未来祖国前途无限光辉灿烂的前景，我们更应该具有爱国之情和报国之心。
中国自入世以来，我们真切地感受到了来自各方面的机遇和挑战，面对和平与发展的当今世界，我们面临的不再是战争的洗礼，而是就业的竞争。我们的报国之举也不再是抛头颅、洒热血，而是学知识、建家乡。我们可能要阻挡来势汹汹的洪水，预防禽流感，我们要登月探索宇宙，我们的足球要获胜，我们要研究转基因，我们要征服沙尘暴，我们要保护环境,我们要举办奥运会……
然而有问卷调查显示中学生中有不少同学把升国旗当做走形式。有的同学认为唱国歌没感觉，还不如唱流行歌曲带劲。
从中学生课外阅读来看，有35%的同学喜欢爱国题材的影片和图书，另有更多的同学热中于武侠小说以及言情小说。
这说明我们有许多的局限：
第一，当前我们都是“泛90年代”出生的，缺乏忧国忧民的基础。
第二，对于中学生来说，我们的生活圈子小，社会阅历浅，知识面较窄，辨别是非的能力差，容易受腐朽思想影响。
第三，当前，中学生升学压力大，学习任务重，没有较多的时间通过报刊、电视广播等途径获得新的信息，对我国国情和社会主义建设知之甚少。
歌德说过：“我们为祖国服务，也不能采用同一种方式，每个人应该按照资禀，各尽所能。”
所以我们中学生的爱国在细节。
让我们在文化学习中，勇做一个汲峭攀登的人;在业余生活中，敢做一个时间的主宰者;在社会实践中，争当一个活雷锋。
例如积极参加各种志愿者活动。
面对破坏公共财物的行为，我们能站出来坚决制止。
不要过分注重外国洋节日的新鲜感，而忽略中国传统节日所蕴涵的悠久的历史与文化。
我们需懂得一个真正的爱国者应脚踏实地亲身参与，不能只是主观地评头论足，更不能盲目崇洋，要做有拳拳报国之心的主人翁，不能做那种怨天忧人的局外客。
